Rare Jurassic fossils discovered near Lake Powell

In March 2023, paleontologists were documenting fossil tracksites when they discovered a rare fossil horizon that was full of the impressions of bones and bone fragments of tritylodontid mammaliaforms, or early herbivorous mammal-relatives from the Early Jurassic.
